The impact of corona virus on abroad studies

It is a hard truth that COVID 19 affected the people world wide. It put effect on very large scale in human life cycle and life style. Whole world’s People are in panic mental condition from the pandemic COVID 19 and it creates fear, anxiety, stress ans some mental and physical disorders. On the other hand as we all know that god has given the ability to every soul to fight against the adverse situation and secondly be triable and try to accomplish your life’s goal. It is written in a one of the very renowned mythological book that any soul cann’t stop to perform his/her duty, everyone must have to do something in each and every single second and it’s depend upon each and every individual that how they are utilizing the time. It is simply a mindset if you really want to achieve something, it is true that the situation does matter, effect and create a barrier but can not stop for ever. Few student’s survey indicating the same fact that the current situation is effected but they do not stop to try and achieve, whatever it is abroad studies or anything, options are always available in the modern technological world.

Massive impact of  COVID 19 effected on student s abroad studies, mentioned below in short :-

1)       students planning to start their studies in the short-term are more concerned about COVID-19 disruptions to their study plans

2)       the main worries of prospective students are related to travel restrictions and financial issues (e.g. decrease of their study budget or the increasing cost of studying abroad)

3)       students expect universities to improve hygiene measures on campus, as well as offer a 24/7 helpline, online counselling and support and extend their application periods.

4)       students currently in their home countries are more concerned about travel restrictions, study budgets, and challenges to completing their current studies.

5)  students already studying abroad are more pessimistic in their expectations of how COVID-19 will impact their future study plans and more likely to consider online learning, or postpone their studies COVID 19 imposed restrictions on student s physical travel in abroad but still they are pursuing and able to get education through Internet technology.

The scare of coronavirus infection and subsequent international travel restrictions may lead to many Indian students aspiring to go abroad for studies opting out this year or postponing it till next year.

March-April is the time students start shortlisting instituitions but if the covid 19 threat persists , there might be a fall in actual number of students going abroad.Acc. to the industry experts ,China-a top pick for Indian students who want to pursue medical-would not be considered as an option at least for one year.

Though it is highly expected that universities will adjust to the crisis and will postpone the application deadlines and would ease down the admission process .Also, they will make changes to their academic year schedule if the situation persists longer.

As we go through the news on the Television or in the newspaper, we have come across ads by many Universities that they are providing Online Degrees and Postgraduation courses which carry the same credibility as the Regular courses.

The various Universities have come to the realization that, the number of foreign students joining them will reduce drastically over the time of Corona Virus impact. The revenue of the Universities are going to stoop low as they always made the most income from foreign students.

Thr United that offer abroad studies are providing foreign students the alternatives to moving abroad for higher education. This can be well utilized by the students all over the world as this reduces their expenses to less that half of what they would have to spend to go abroad for the same course in the same University.

Corona is a potent threat with implications on studies abroad. The virus has had a major impact in USA, UK, Australia, Germany , Spain and Italy the preferred destinations for Studies abroad by Indian Students. The Unknown Chinese scare would definitely rule out China as yet another destination for Studies. The irony is that the state of existing flux cannot be defined in attributes of timelines. There is a big question mark over opening of institutions in near future. Obviously the admission process which starts March onwards is in doldrums. The capability and capacity of  institutions to commence courses on line  as regular activity is suspect specially for technical courses with a majority practical content as part of curriculum.

In my opinion, at this point in time it would be pragmatic to assume that earliest one can think of concrete beginnings in acdemic sessions abroad is January 2021 with admission cycles readjusted to September / October

Hi. Right Question at the Right time. Abroad  Education is Many students dream even today. May students are waiting for the right opportunity and the right people who can help them get their dream education abroad.

Corona is not permanent, it s just a bubble in the running water. We will pass this too. And the dreams of many will come true soon. We will incubate their dreams.

Just a matter of TIME.
